Malvern Borough: An Excellent Pennsylvania Community to Call Home
Located in Chester County, PA, Malvern Borough is a quaint and charming community of just less than 3,000 residents as of the 2010 Census.

The History of This PA Borough
This community was originally settled by Welsh immigrants in the 17th century. These immigrants bought the land from William Penn.
The borough earned a permanent place in the history in 1777 because it was the site of the Paoli Massacre during the American Revolutionary War.
One of the earliest landmarks of the community was the East Whiteland Baptist Church. In fact, the church served as a focal point for the community for many decades.
Although the community was known for a long time as the West Chester Intersection, the towns name was changed to Malvern in 1873 when the Pennsylvania Railroad straightened its tracks through the village.
The community continued to grow over the years, officially being incorporated on August 13, 1889.
Modern Day Malvern Borough
Today, this community boasts a vibrant mix of residential styles and neighborhoods as well as retail and industrial businesses. There is also a fair amount of dedicated open land as well as numerous civic and cultural organizations.
Meanwhile, the Malvern Business and Professional Association promotes Malvern commerce and the unique character of the town.

This includes the Paoli Battlefield Side and Parade Grounds and the Wharton Esherick Studio.
